What is RixCaps?+
A web app to add styled captions to short video: upload, transcribe, edit, and export from Chrome or Edge without installing desktop software.
Does my video leave my computer?+
By default, no. Video and local speech recognition stay in the browser. If you opt into cloud project sync, we only store project data such as captions and styles — not the video file.
Is transcription free?+
Local transcription is free. Clean (no-watermark) export uses credits based on video duration. Optional cloud features, when available, are shown with their credit cost in the app.
How do payments work?+
Buy credit packs on the Pricing page in USD through Creem or PayPal. We never store full card numbers. Credits unlock clean export and other paid features.
Can I get a refund?+
Digital credits are generally non-refundable after successful payment, except when a verified system fault charged you without delivering credits. See the Refund Policy.
Which browsers are supported?+
Desktop Chrome or Edge is recommended for the best export experience. Other browsers may have limited support.
